Probably the most useful part of the morning was speaking to a veteran of many a marathon. He suggested that the second 20 miles of the marathon is the section to focus on and doing a 'negative' first 13.3 miles (running a slower first half of the marathon) was a good thing. If that happens we'll be very happy : )

Got the T-Shirt!
On Sunday Ben and I went to the Puma centre at Gosling Sports Park to meet up with Jean Pickering (Olympic bronze medalist in hurdles '52) and some fellow marathon competitors Running for Ron. It was also a good opportunity to pick up the official Run for Ron running shirt (see below) for April 23rd and a photo shoot for the local paper - Welwyn and Hatfield Times.
