
Following the London Marathon I took 7 days off running completely, including in the gym. Following my lay off, I was surprised how quick my legs recovered and it wasn't long before I set was doing 3 km runs at lunch in the gym.
In recent weeks I've been building up the training gearing towards tomorrows 1/2 marathon. The running has mainly consisted of doing at least one 9/10 mile a week at a fast'ish pace and most days in the gym doing cardio and working on improving my core strength.
I'll be running tomorrow with Ben in seriously hot weather, which apparently not very conducive to fast times, so I'll be happy to finish the race with a sub 1:50 time.
